I am so happy to see that the NFL is doing their part to support Breast Cancer Awareness month! You all know I don't really watch football, but C just happened to inform me that the NFL players, coaches and and referees are all decked out in pink today during all the games!!! And it's happening all month long! Pink ribbons, cleats, armbands, towels on the bench, pink coin toss coins, a ribbon painted on the field. It's all part of the NFL's Breast Cancer Awarensss campaign cleverly titled "A Crucial Catch." Gotta love this amazing effort.

What's even better is that it doesn't end there. All the apparel worn by players and coaches will be auctioned off at the end of the month, with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society and individual team charities. The NFL says, "This is an issue that has directly touched the lives of so many in the NFL family, and we are committed to helping make a difference in breast-cancer prevention." Visit NFL.com/pink and Making Strides to learn more about what you can do to help.
As an aside, I thought I'd share that we had a little laugh when I read an article online stating that the "zebras" were also sporting their pink ribbons. "What does a zebra have to do with football?" was my obvious response. C promptly informed me that zebra is a term for the referees! Silly me.....
